About the project:
Commissioned by the University of the Arts London, UK Trade & Investment, London Design Festival and the Sorrell Foundation, Clemens Hackl Design created, in collaboration with Tunelight's Damien Borowik, an interactive installation to mark the launch of Sir John Sorrell's book "Creative Island II - Inspired Design from Great Britain".
The installation featured inspired Great British design as well as a substancial resource of University of the Arts London case studies.
Visitors could interact with the content by "waving" their hand over a series of photo cell sensors to flick through the carefully selected case studies and videos. A distance sensor recognised how far away a person was from the terminal and switched between slideshow and interactive modus.
After the initial launch at the V&A, a second installation set up at Earl's Court during 100% design.
